December 9th
We painted reindeer pictures

December 10th
We went to Burns Park Holiday lights. It was nice and warm in the car listening to Christmas music and driving through the lights.

December 11th
Family game night! We played Imaginiff. It was lots of fun!!

December 12th
We went and bought teacher Christmas gifts. We haven't had the party yet so shh, it's a secret ;)

December 13th
We made chocolate colored pretzels. They were very yummy!!

December 14th
Blake helped me mail our Christmas cards.

December 15th
The kids went on an Elf hunt. Santas elves made a treasure hunt and at the end the kids found a gift to open. It was Christmas pajamas. Blake was a little disappointed but the girls loved them haha

December 16th
We went to the movies to see Chipwrecked, the new Alvin movie. It was really cute.

December 17th
The kids got to spend the night with Papaw and Mamaw while Chris and I went to my work party. They had so much fun. Their church had a live nativity that the kids got to be a part of.

December 18th
We had planned to look at Christmas lights but Blake wanted to stay at home and play his new game Cootie. Thanks cousin Drew!!

December 19th
The kids made snowmen ornaments. I got the idea from Pinterest. They turned out super cute!

December 5th We were planning on going to the Christmas parade but they had to reschedule due to the weather. So instead, last minute, we sang Christmas songs on the Santa Tracker chanel(which is SUPER cool btw), popped popcorn, and watched Polar Express. Fun family night!

December 6th Haley had her Christmas choir concert so we went to watch her. They did so good! Poppy, Nana, Aunt Ashley, and Stella came to watch too! About half way through the concert one of the boys passed out and fell off the top risor. It was so scary. But he is ok!

December 7th The kids opened a new book to read.

The Night Before Christmas! The kids really enjoyed it.

December 8th We decorated a gingerbread house. It gets messy but the kids love it(ok ok maybe I do too)

Advent Calendar

This year I thought it would be fun to do an advent calendar with fun activities for the kids.

Decemeber 1st we went to the Bryant Parade of Lights. It was a VERY short parade! We had fun though.

December 2nd Blake and Kate went to Target and each picked out a toy to drop off at Toys for Tots. Kate really didn't want to part with that Cinderella doll! lol

December 3rd we took the kids to the movies to see Arthur Christmas. It was a very cute movie. Blake really liked it. Kate got tired of it about half way through though.

Kate is one today! I really can't believe how fast time goes by. We had a great party thanks to everyone who came! Her doctors appointment is next week, so I'll do another post with all her accomplishments and stats!

We had Blake's party yesterday and even though there was ice on the ground, we still had a great party! It was pirate themed. Blake loved his decorations. He kept saying "that looks great mom". He's so sweet! Among his presents were a basketball goal and a bike. He loved everything!
He's starting to get excited about Kindergarten. Before he kept saying that he wasn't going, but the past few weeks he says he can't wait! He does great at preschool, but it's only half a day. We'll see how he likes eating lunch and taking a nap at school.
Blake loves to play make believe. He's doing really good reading and loves to be read to. He draws pictures ALL the time. I find paper all over the house that he's drawn on. He's getting really good(I think he'll take after his poppy!).
He's 44 1/2 inches tall, weighs 46.5 pounds, wears a size 13 shoe, size 5 jeans(that we have to adjust the waist on), and size 6-7 shirt! I think he's gonna be tall! ha
His favorite drinks are chocolate milk, sweet tea, and Dr Pepper. He likes chicken strips, grilled chicken, catfish, apples, oranges, celery, pretzels, gold fish, brownies, zebra cakes, and candy candy candy! He has such a sweet tooth-like his moma ;)

It's really hard to imagine that this time next month my little angel will be turning 1! She has the sweetest personality. I would say she's getting so big-but she's not! ha! She still weighs 15 pounds. She's eating table food now and drinking milk from a sippy cup as well as nursing. We took her to get her hair trimmed for the first time the other day because it was getting in her eyes. She did really good! Here's a list of her tricks! haha

Kate turned 10 months old on the 13th. I can't believe she's almost 1! She is about 27in and weighs 15lbs. Still little! She is crawling on her belly. Still nursing. Says dada, nana, bye bye, hey, and SOMETIMES moma. She sits up easily. Claps. Gives kisses. Smiles for the camera. Loves music, likes to dance and sing. Still very very sweet! She had her first ear infection last week. It was so sad. She is still taking antibiotics. She got to meet Santa on Wednesday and she didn't cry! I was really surprised. Blake did really good too! Here is a picture of her from Blake's party. We didn't do a photo shoot since she hasn't felt good. haha

The Sunday before Thanksgiving we went down to Monticello to have Thanksgiving with Chris's Dads Family. We went to Mamaw Florence's house and had some yummy food! We had fun getting to see everyone. Then on Thanksgiving day we ate a wonderful lunch at my mom's house. After lunch we drove to San Antonio to Brad and Rhonda's house. We celebrated Brad and Chad's birthday on Friday night. We went out to eat and bowling. Saturday for lunch we had another awesome Thanksgiving meal. Saturday afternoon we opened Christmas presents. That night we went out to a ranch and drove through tons of lights and decorations. The kids loved it! Sunday night we went down to the river walk and ate some good Mexican food. We listened to carolers go by in the boats singing. It was so fun! We got to see all the lights down at the river. We had so much fun with the family and can't wait til baby Harris gets here!

Kate turned 9 month old yesterday! Her well baby check is next week so I'll give an update on her stats then. As you can see, she is sitting up on her own very well. She is starting to eat a lot better too! Her first tooth finally popped through yesterday. It's the bottom right. The left is right behind it, you can see it under the gums. She loves to clap and sing, and dance. She already loves music! She is still such a sweet baby. Still nursing. She can crawl on her stomach. Wave bye bye. She says Dada, Nana, Bye, and Hi. I weighed her at the hospital last week and she's still 15 pounds. Maybe she'll gain some weight by next week! haha

Pumpkin Patch

Today Blake's preschool class got to go to the Pumpkin Patch. When we got there we got to take a hay ride! After the hay ride the kids got a snack of pretzels and "pumpkin juice" while they watched the pig races. Then they got to feed the chickens and goats. And finally, Blake got to pick out his very own pumpkin! He was so funny, he saw the hay pile that the kids play in and ran straight to it. I coaxed him out to find a pumkin. He ran up to the first one he saw(which was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen) and said "ok, here". hahaha I told him to find a prettier one and he picked a better one out. The one in the picture is not his though, he was too busy to take a picture with his! He played on the hay pile with the other kids which had a slide and tunnel. They LOVED it! Last year Chris had to make him get up there and after a while he was fine...but this year as soon as he saw it, he ran straight up to the top! Not scared at all! He is growing up so fast. Kate's baby dedication

Sunday we had Kate's baby dedication at church. It was a very beautiful service. A beautiful song was sang. A Mother's Prayer. Listen here. Kate was such a good girl! She was smiling at Pastor Rick. It was so cute! There was a slide show of all the babies. And a reception to follow. Very special!

Chris and I pray that she will love and trust our Lord as we do. And that one day she also will be a follower of Christ and let him "be the boss of her life" as Pastor Rick says!

A big thanks to Nana and Poppy, Mamaw, and Aunt Holly for coming. It really means a lot to all of us! We love you all!

We didn't get many good pictures, but the church took some, so I'll post more when we get them.

I am so thankful to have such a wonderful and loving daughter. I can't believe she is already 11. We have been through a lot together, and I wouldn't change a minute of it! I never knew how much love I had in my heart until that first moment I held her. I was so overwhelmed with love and pure joy. Every day I love her more and more. She continues to amaze me with her beauty-inside and out. She is so smart, funny, caring, loving, independent, strong, and passionate. She is an awesome big sister. She loves Blake and Kate so much. 7 Precious months!

Kate is 7 months old today! What a blessing she has been to us! She continues to be such a sweet and laid back baby. Some new things she is doing are-drinking from a cup, saying dada, picking up stars and putting them in her mouth(she loves them!), laughing a lot, waving bye bye, likes to play on tummy, playing with toys more, watching baby Einstein, and almost sitting up by herself(she does pretty good, but still falls). Blake started preschool today! He went last year to the same place. He gets to have the same teacher again also. We love Mrs. Joyce! Haley had her also. He was so excited about school. I just wanted to take the time to say how proud I am of Haley for being such a wonderful student. Her teachers always brag on her for being so smart and so good in class. Here are her ACTAAP scores from last year that we just got back.

Mathematics Problem Solving: 27/30 correct, 91st percentile(national)

Reading Comprehension: 29/30 correct, 99th percentile

Comprehensive Language: 28/30 correct, 95th percentile

I thought those were REALLY AWESOME scores! Just had to share...

Blake and Kate had their 4yr old and 6mo checkups today. They did so good! Blake got 3 vaccinations and didn't cry. He was so tough.

Here are the stats:

Blake- Weight 44.6 pounds(86%), Height 43 5/8 inches(85%)
Kate- Weight 13.5 pounds(6%), Height 25 inches(18%), Head 16 3/4 inches(47%)

Haley had a great 1st week of school! She said she loves 5th grade!

Eubanks Family Reunion

We had our first reunion with my grandfather Eubanks's family(my moms dad). My grandpa Leon passed away in 1999 when Haley was just a baby. I know he would have loved being at the reunion with us and being the center of attention. I miss him with all my heart.
The reunion was at one of the pavillions at Lake DeGray. The food was outstanding. Lots of pulled pork, briskett, hamburgers, beans, potato salad, chips, fruit, veggies, and great dessert. We got to look at old photographs that we had never seen. The kids got to swim at the beach. All in all it was a great success! Can't wait til the next one!

Wow! I know I keep saying this, but time is just flying by! I'm loving being a mommy to 3 wonderful children! I am so proud of all of them. Kate is growing so fast. She has the SWEETEST personality! I think she is teething. She has been fussy all week. And she NEVER fusses. She has also been drooling and biting a lot(including me!). She still won't take a bottle, but is eating solids a lot better. She finally graduated to a size 2 diaper. I weighed her last week and she was 13lbs 1 oz. She is going for her 6 mo checkup in a week so I will post some official measurements. Blake will be starting preschool in a few weeks. He is getting excited. He'll go Mon, Wed, Fri 9-12 this year. Haley had her open house the other night. She got to meet her teacher and see her classroom. She is super pumped! We went and got her some new clothes last weekend. She is growing up so much and such a smart girl. She'll be in middle school next year-I can't believe it! Here are some pictures...

5 months!

Kate is getting so big! She has such a sweet and fun personality! She loves to roll over. Still not liking "solid foods" (except ice cream!). I have had several shifts back to work now. It's really hard on me being at work and knowing she won't take a bottle. Chris has had to bring her up several times to eat. She is so spoiled. :) The last time I weighed her she was 13lbs 1oz. She may look like her big brother, but she's not taking after him!

4 month check up

I forgot to post Kate's measurements from her 4 month check up. As of 6/17/09 Weight 12lbs 2.7oz Length 24 3/4in Head 16in. She did much better with her 2nd set of shots, but ran a little fever the day after. I also went back to work part time. It was much harder on me than Kate. At least she gets to stay home with Chris and I know she is well taken care of!

Catching Up!

I am so far behind! A lot has gone on since the last time I blogged! We went on vacation to South Padre Beach. It was so fun! Kate turned 4 months old. Happy Father's Day to my wonderful daddy, father-in-law, and last but not least-the best husband and daddy in the world-Chris! Kate surprised us on Father's Day with a new milestone. She can roll from back to front. She does it ALL the time! Here are some pictures and a video!

Cereal

We started trying Kate on cereal this past week to get her ready for when I go back to work since she won't take a bottle. As you can see in the pictures, she's not crazy about it yet! But we're working on it. Also I weighed her yesterday when we visited the hospital. 11 lbs 1 oz!

Kate is getting so big! She's reaching out and grabbing things a lot better. She started laughing last week, which is precious! She is constantly chattering. If no one pays attention, she gets louder and louder until we respond. It's so funny! She loves to smile and is facinated by her hands and feet. She is sitting up a lot better in her bumbo. If you try to lay her back to relax, she immediately trys to sit back up. She doesn't want to miss anything!

Haley's Dance Recital

Haley had her 6th dance recital! It was wonderful, and she had so much fun! She didn't think she wanted to continue with dance until rehearsal night. She was so excited and wound up! She did such a good job and we are so proud of her!

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day! We started off by going to church. Then we went over to my mom's to eat lunch. My grandma came over. We had ribs and they were so yummy! After we ate we sat around and watched old home videos. It was a very nice relaxing day! I got wonderful cards and presents also.

I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful mother who has always been there for me. She taught me how to love. She taught me how to care. She taught me how to nurture. Thank you mom for loving me and taking such good care of me. Thank you for still taking care of me, even as an adult. Thank you for being such a good Nana to Haley, Blake, and Kate. There are not words to express the feelings I have for you. I love you more than you will ever know! Happy Mother's Day!

Saturday we went to Monticello to spend time with Linda,my mother-in-law. That afternoon we went to Hamburg to the Catfish Inn to see Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Jimmy(and to eat the yummy food!) Blake tried shrimp and corn for the first time and loved it! I'm so proud of him! I thought it was very important for Chris to see his mother for mother's day. Also because she is like another mother for me. I am so lucky to have such wonderful in-laws who love their sons, their sons wives, and all of their grandchildren. Thank you so much mom for all you do for us and all the love you show to my family! You are such a wonderful person and a great influence on all of us! I love all of our time together and only regret that we are not closer to see each other more often. I love you and so do Haley, Blake, and Kate. Thank you for being the awesome Mamaw that you are! Happy Mother's Day!

Not only am I lucky to have such a great mother and mother-in-law, I feel like I am the luckiest person in the world for having my 3 beautiful and sweet children. They are so loving and smart. I am so proud of them. They also love each other so much. Haley and Blake are such a big help with Kate. I never knew how much love you could have in your heart until I became a mother. I love Haley so much! I was so scared that I could never love another child as much as her. And when Blake came along, I saw that I absolutely could! He is my sweet little man, and he loves to give kisses and hugs! Kate is just as precious and perfect to me as the other two. It's amazing how with each child you can love them just as much as the one before! I love being a mom, it's the best job in the world!

12 weeks

Wow-whoever said that time flies by, sure was right! It's been 12 whole weeks since Kate was born. But 5 more days until she's technically 3 months. She is still so tiny, sometimes I wonder if she's even growing! She's still wearing 0-3 month clothes. Which I guess is normal, but Blake was always way ahead of clothes for his age(and still is), so it's just hard to believe. She has found her hands and loves to stare at them and move them all around in front of her face. But most of all she likes to suck her fists. Her hair still sticks straight up in the back. It's so precious! She loves her swing. She always falls asleep in it! My new favorite hobby is making bows. It's so fun(and way cheaper than buying them!) Blake was so sweet the other night. He came up to me and asked me if I would rock him. I loved it! I rocked him for 30 minutes until he fell asleep and I layed him down in his bed. He barely fit in my lap. I'm sure it was a funny site, but he was so cozy. He told me he was my big boy baby! haha, I'll take that! Today my cousin Linsey, her husband Joe, and kids Liam and Chloe came to visit. Chloe was born a month before Kate. Linsey bought them matching dresses. They were so cute! We had a good visit!

11 weeks!

Kate is 11 weeks old today! My little angel is almost 3 months old. It's so hard to believe. She's started trying to watch TV and she's liking her bouncie chair more. She likes to look at the dangly flower and firefly that hang off of it. She will smile at just about anyone and she loves to talk! She still rolls over from front to back-when she feels like it that is. Still not taking a bottle, though we try EVERY day. Bless her heart! ha Good news-I turned in my paperwork to switch from full time to prn yesterday! I'm so excited! I'll probably work 1-2 8hr shifts a week. Even though I'm not sure how Chris will feed her when I leave. I told him he may have to bring her up there! In a few more months she can have some baby food too, and that will help. I've also read that you can let them drink out of a cup if they won't take a bottle, which Haley did some at 4 months. We're trying to stay positive! Blake's zoo trip & 10 weeks old!

Blake had his preschool trip to the zoo yesterday. He LOVED it. It was also Kate's first zoo trip. She was so good. She just sat in her seat and strolled around all morning! Blake was very good also. He stayed by Chris and I and didn't try to run around at all-which if you don't know him, is awesome! :) And it goes without saying, that Haley was perfect. I'm so proud of the lot of them! Ha. We got to ride the train, which I remember being way cooler when I was a kid, so hopefully they thought so too! After we left the zoo we went and ate at Buffalo Grill(where Chris and I met) to see some of his old work buddies. Even though it's been several years ago, there were still lots of people there that he knew. He got to show off his big family! When we got home Blake, Kate, and Daddy took a nap while I took Haley to dance. After dance we went straight to the ball park for Blake's t-ball game. He did so much better! He still isn't that interested, but at least he stayed put in his place. He always hits the ball good, but it's iffy whether or not he'll run to the base. Usually it's just a really slow trot! The team we played last night was really good, so he got out a couple of times, but he did make it home once. Yay Blake! Maybe next year will go better!

Kate is 10 weeks today! She is doing wonderful! Besides one really bad night, she has been sleeping between 7-9 hours every night! She loves to smile and talk. She is perfect. She finally rolled over for Chris the other night. When you try to lay her back, she tries to sit up. She doesn't want to miss anything! We also got to meet one of my friend Theresa's little boy on Monday. He is so precious! Kate thought so too!

Last Thursday Kate had her 2 month check up and shots. Here are her measurements: weight-birth 7lbs 9ozs, 2 months 10lbs 6ozs(35th percentile); length-birth 19in, 2months 23in(72nd percentile); head-birth 13in, 2 months 15in(30th percentile). I can't believe she's grown 4 inches! That's crazy! She still seems so little. The nurse practitioner said she was growing good and everything was great. She couldn't believe that Kate's rolling over. She said she must be trying to keep up with everyone. I'm sure that's true! Friday she turned 9 weeks old. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby. She is so sweet. Haley and Blake are enjoying her as much as Chris and I do. Saturday we went to my cousin Angela's wedding. We are so happy for her. After the wedding we went to Nana's to visit. Blake and Reese had so much fun playing with each other. Reese is HILARIOUS! And the best news of all-Kate slept 7 hours in a row last night. Maybe she'll keep this up. I'm so proud of her! She is such a big girl.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We started off the day by going to the early service at First Baptist Church. Bro Rick gave an awesome sermon. The music was exellent. My mom went with us and she thought the same! Then we all went to mom's for lunch. Even though it was raining we had so much fun! The kids got another Easter basket at Nana's. They loved it! We hid eggs inside so they could still hunt. It was hilarious. We had wonderful food!

Kate turned 2 months old yesterday! She is such a big girl! Yesterday a woman asked me how old she was and when I told her she said-she's so little! She looks like a newborn! She is still tiny. She goes to the doctor for her 2 month check-up on Thursday so we'll find out all her measurements and weight then. And also find out what percentile she's in. I'm anxious to find out!

A couple of days ago Kristin and her boyfriend came to see us. Kate slept the whole time, but Blake got a picture for me. We are so glad they came over! I really miss Kristin since I never get to see her anymore. I'm use to working 12 hour shifts with her so it's a big change! Blake loves taking pictures. I'm constantly finding his work on my camera. And he does a really good job! He likes to take pictures of his power rangers too. It's hilarious!

Last night Kate rolled over from front to back! I was squealing! Chris was already in bed, but Haley was up with us and we couldn't believe it! And just to be sure I had her do it over and over again! I'm so excited. I caught the end of it on video. She is also smiling and cooing a lot more this week. Last night Haley was playing with her and she loved it! She was smiling and talking back to Haley. Everytime Haley would stick her tongue out at Kate, she would stick hers back out at her! We were laughing so hard. I'm so glad Blake and Haley love her so much. Blake has been calling her his little cutie pie! He still loves to kiss her all the time.

Haley has her first science fair project this year. It's due on the 22nd. She's testing which diaper is the most absorbent. We're having a lot of fun with it.

Kate is almost 2 months old! I can't believe it! She is sweeter than ever. Smiling a lot and still wanting to cuddle. She is still on a 4 hour sleep schedule at night, which I think is pretty good. She still won't take a bottle though. I've tried 5 different kinds now. She still doesn't like pacifiers either. Haley was the same way. Blake took a bottle but he wouldn't take a pacifier either. I guess I'm lucky that I've never had to wean a child off a pacifier, I heard it's very hard to do!

Blake had his first 2 t-ball games this weekend. Kate got to stay with her Nana. Blake did so good. Even though he mostly ran wild. I was laughing so hard, I was crying! He was running around, throwing his hat in the air. He was so excited his Papaw and Mamaw came! He kept coming up to the fence in the middle of the game, saying "I love you Mamaw!". It was so sweet! Today we went to Sheridan to meet up with Papaw and Mamaw. They were meeting Julie and Mabry there with her parents and sister. They were in Sheridan at her soon to be sister-in-laws' bridal shower. We all went to eat at Mazzio's. Mabry is so gorgeous! She was laughing and talking to us. It's amazing how much I love someone I've never even met! We had so much fun! Earlier that day we went up to Baptist to see Chris and the Heart Hospital to see Kristin and Jeri. Kate got passed around. Then Blake had t-ball practice(which he could care less about). All in all it was a very good birthday-busy, but good.

Kate is one month old today. Another Friday the 13th. It's crazy how there were 2 in a row. Is that normal? Anyway, we celebrated by going to Target and getting diapers! We go through LOTS of diapers! She likes me to put a clean one on her before she goes. :) Can't poop in a dirty diaper! She's already spoiled! haha She's been doing very well at night. She usually gets up once or twice depending on how late we get in bed(she likes to stay up late). Blake has another T-ball practice tonight. Maybe this one will go a little better. He's been asking all week to go to practice. He's so funny, sometimes he calls Kate "my baby Katie". It's precious. He's still very protective of her and wants to love on her and kiss her all the time. If someone asks to take her home with them he gets very upset. He came up to me this morning and said "I love you and my baby Katie". He may like to get into things, but he is such a loving little boy. Now that Kate is here he seems so much bigger and older. It makes me sad that he is growing up, but sometimes he lets me call him my baby. Haley is going to be in the talent show at her school Tuesday night, so we're real excited about that. A group of kids in her grade are doing a dance. I'll post some pictures next week. As for now, more of baby Kate...

As of yesterday Miss Kate turned 3 weeks old. Time is flying by! She is so sweet. She really has her days and nights mixed up. We have been staying up most of the night and then she tries to sleep all day. Blake had his first t-ball practice last night. He wasn't very interested though. He did good when he was out there actually practicing. Alot of the time he just wanted to run around and play. His team is going to be called the bears. Their colors are yellow and black. I hope he likes playing. We'll see...

Kate is 2 weeks old today! She's starting to smile when you talk to her. Haley and Blake love her so much! I've been putting her in her swing some and she really seems to like it. She's still sleeping between me and Chris in the co-sleeper, and Blake is doing a good job staying in his bed. I'm so proud of him! Last night she slept 6 hours in a row-from 12-6. I couldn't believe it when I woke up. We stayed up til 7 then went back to sleep til 930. It was so nice! She's going to have me spoiled! Last night we went to Nana and Poppy's and had hamburgers. I haven't been out of the house much(just the pediatrician's office) so it was nice to get out. Even going to Target sounds exciting to me. I just don't think I'm ready to leave her yet. :)

Blake was so funny the other day. He was singing Rain rain go away and just like his daddy he was singing his own lyrics! "Rain, rain go away, come again some mother day" haha. Then when we told him it was "some other day" he sang "rain, rain go away, come again some father day" He is Chris made over! He was supposed to have his first t-ball practice tonight but it got rained out. They are going to meet next Friday instead. Below I put a picture of Kate and Blake's hospital pictures to compare. As most of you probably know Kate was born Friday afternoon, February 13th at 4:55pm. She weighed 7lbs9oz and was 19in long. She has lots of beautiful black hair and blue eyes. She looks just like her daddy and little brother. I went into the hospital at 11pm the night before and got a couple of doses of Cytotec through the night. I couldn't sleep at all! Dr. Thibault came in Friday morning and started my epidural and broke my water. Unfortunately the epidural only worked on the right side of my body(that was after 2 sticks to try and get it). I had some Stadol to help with the pain. They started Pitocin on me and my contractions were very strong. It took me most of the day to dilate, but once I got to 7 it didn't take long! Right before I started pushing Dr. T redosed my epidural and my blood pressure dropped to 68! I felt aweful and was hurting so bad, but it was all worth it!!! Kate did wonderful and is very healthy. She is so sweet. She stayed in the room with us most of the time unless they needed to take her to the nursery. She still has her days and nights mixed up, but she's getting better. She had her first doctors appointment today and he said she was perfect! She weighs 7lbs5oz. Here are some pictures...

I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and I had my weekly checkup today. I'm really getting sick of weekly checkups! Good news-I haven't gained any weight since December. Bad news-I'm still not changing any! Her heartrate was 147 and she is still head down(good news too). He said he would look at inducing at the end of next week if I wanted. He told me he thought she weighed about 8 pounds, which I'm not surprised because my other 2 were so big! I really think if she stays the whole time she'll be 9 pounds. I was a little better prepared for the bad news this week. Last week I was certain I was making process so I was very upset to learn I wasn't. This time I told myself to be ready to hear the same thing. So I didn't even cry this time! haha. I'm very ready to have her but yesterday was my last day of work, just knowing I don't have to work anymore makes me feel 10 times better. We have been so busy in the ER lately that it's hard for me to pull my load! I have wonderful co-workers who help me out so much and cover my shifts when needed. Thanks guys! So I go back to Dr T next Tuesday and I hope to hear better news!

I can't believe my baby is already 4! It makes me sad! I guess his little sister decided to cooperate and stay put until after his birthday. He had a Mickey Mouse party. He had so much fun. He got lots of presents and the kids did a pinata. After the party Chris's parents took us to Chili's and they sang to Blake and gave him ice cream. He didn't really know what to think about that! haha. We had a little accident before the party though. While I was getting ready and Chris was gone getting the cake Blake decided to catch his hair on fire! He was leaning over one of my candles and I guess the gel on his hair ignited and burned the very front of his hair to his head. He was crying and I was crying. He wouldn't let me put anything on it or even get the burnt part off so he had his party with burnt hair and skin on the front of his head! After he got over the shock he was able to let loose and have fun! Poor thing we had to get his hair cut AGAIN and he just has a scab on the front of his head now. Here are some pics from the party.

Holly and Kristin threw me a baby shower Saturday at Kristin's house. It was so nice and so much fun! I got tons of great gifts and tons of precious clothes. Now I just need Kate here to try everything on! haha. I also got money and gift cards so I went shopping that night and got the rest of the stuff I needed. I feel so much more prepared! I was beginning to worry, but obviously she isn't ready to come out yet. Now all I have to do is finish the paintings for her room, which I should have done by tonight. I've got here bag and mine packed for the most part. I can't belive it's so close! I saw Dr. T yesterday and nothing had changed. Still not dilated, 30% effaced. I was pretty upset yesterday, but I understand it's better for Kate. I'm just sick of all these contractions for nothing! Here are some pictures from the shower.

I went to see Dr. Thibault today. Kate's heart rate was 163. Everything seems to be going great. I've been having lots of cramps and contractions and found out today it's doing some good! I'm not dilating yet, but I'm starting to efface. I'm so excited. I told Dr T I would see him next week and he told me unless I see him before that. He said he's on call this weekend. I just want to have this shower Saturday and then I'll be ready! It's getting so close.

We all had so much fun at Christmas. We had Christmas morning at our house, then went to Nana's. After that we drove to Hamburg and had Christmas at aunt Carolyn's. Then we were off to Monticello to Pappaw and Mammaw's for the last Christmas for the day. We got a lot of wonderful presents! I worked New Years Eve and New Years Day. We all drove to Dallas to Chad and Julies for Christmas since she didn't get to travel. Lucky she didn't because Mabry came just a few days after we left! She is beautiful! I can't wait to see her! Today Haley had her 4th grade Christmas party. They had tons of food. They mostly ate and got treat bags. They made a sled with candy canes and a hershey bar. It was cute. Santa Goes Green! We went to Haley's play tonight. It was about teaching santa how to "go green". Haley was an elf. The play was really cute and she did very good. Blake fell asleep though and drooled all over my shirt! Also, I went to the dr yesterday. I'm 31 weeks today. Kate weighs 3 pounds and 8 ounces. We tried to get some 4D shots but she had her face buried in the placenta. I'm afraid we won't be able to get a good look now that she's getting so cramped, but Dr. T said he would look again when I go back in 2 weeks. Here are some pictures from the play.

Blake's Christmas Party

Today Blake had his Christmas party at preschool. He had so much fun! First they made little candy canes and jingle bell bracelets. Then they got to play pin the nose on Rudolph. After that Mrs. Joyce read a book to them while the moms put the food out. They had cookies, fruit, donuts, goldfish, pigs in a blanket, bagel bites, cupcakes, marshmellows, juice, and milk. Of course Blake wouldn't eat anything but the goldfish. He's so picky! When they finished eating Santa came to see them. They all took turns sitting on Santa's lap. He talked to them and then gave them a present! When they all had their presents they got to open them. The boys got a set of Hot Wheels cars and the girls got a Barbie. Blake was so excited! They also got 2 books from Mrs. Joyce. As soon as we got home we had to open the cars and read a book.

Christmas Party

Saturday night we went to my hospital Christmas party at the Chenal Country Club. Nana watched Blake so we could go. Thanks Nana! We had fun. They had appetizers and a band. I won a $500 gift card to Home Depot and we have painted our kitchen and living room! We're hoping to redo our kitchen floor and still paint our room and the kids rooms. It's a lot of work, but I know once our little princess gets here we won't do anything but hold her. I go back to the doctor next week and I'm having another ultrasound. I can't wait! Saturday Reese had his 2 year old birthday party! I can't believe he's getting so big. There were so many adorable little kids there. The theme was Transformers. He had this huge thing of ballons and that was the only thing he wanted to play with. Ashley sat in the floor opening his presents while he played with his ballons. He got through a few of them and then got sick of it. Liam sat with Ashley and helped her. Blake wanted to play with all of the toys and Reese put him in a headlock to get his Power Ranger back. I want to start by saying-GO RAZORBACKS! I'm so happy they beat LSU! Saturday we had another Thanksgiving meal at Chris's parents house. It was so good and we had a lot of fun. My cousins Karissa and Kristin came over and Karissa brought her little boys Wesley and Parker. The kids had fun playing outside. After we left there we went to Chris's aunt Carolyns in Hamburg. Blake was so excited to see Annabelle. We ate AGAIN-which was also very good. After we visited for a little while we went back to Pappaw and Mammaw's house in Monticello. We're staying for the whole weekend. Chris woke up early this morning to go deer hunting and got a 9 point! Blake thought it was really neat. Saturday we're going to have another Thanksgiving at Bruce and Linda's and Chad and Julie will be here also. I'm so thankful for all of my family!

I got baby Kate's bedding in and I'm so excited! I love it! After Rhonda and I get it all fixed how I want it I'll put some pictures up. Hopefully I'll have it done right after Thanksgiving. I've got several things planned for the room so I can't wait to get started. We got the majority of our Christmas shopping done so I'm feeling very accomplished. We plan on putting up the Christmas tree this weekend, so now all that's left is wrapping all the presents and putting them under the tree! Blake is so excited about Christmas. He wants everything he sees on TV. It's so funny! I'm getting so big. Kate is moving around all the time and waking me up at night. I bought her some cute little hair bows the other day and my favorite sister, Ashley bought her niece a cute outfit. It has little Kitty feet. I just can't wait to see her!

Kate's Bedding

Thanks to the help of my wonderful sister-in-law, Rhonda-I finally found some bedding I like that is priced great. She is going to help me fix it up a little. Everyone tell me what you think!

Speaking of wonderful sister-in-laws, Julie called me tonight out of the blue to see how I was doing. It was a wonderful surprise. She also told me she has a blog now, so I'm really excited about that! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family! Kate will be so lucky to have the best grandparents and aunts and uncles in the world! Not to mention the best big brother and sister ever. Haley and Blake are so excited. I'm about 6 1/2 months now and she is getting so big! I can feel her moving and kicking all the time now. We can't wait to see her and hold her and love her!

Halloween

Friday night we took the kids trick or treating. Haley was a devil, Blake was a red power ranger, and Reese was the flash. We started out at Nana's house then went to great grandma's. We went to Haley's aunt Mary Grace's house for her halloween party then took the kids trick or treating in her neighborhood. They had so much fun! After that, we went to Heather's house to see Jaycee and Jarad. It's been so hard to keep Blake out of his candy!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins tonight at nanna and poppy's house. We ordered pizza and all carved our own pumpkins. We do this every year and have so much fun! Also, my glucose tolerance test came back normal. So that is really good news. She told me just to watch my sugar and they would retest me. Here are some pumpkin carving pictures-and me at almost 6 months!

Doctor visit

I went and saw Dr. Thibault today for my monthly checkup. He did an ultrasound which showed it is definitely a girl. Her name will be Katelynn Michelle Huffman. We will call her Kate. Haley got to come today and watch the ultrasound. Dr. Thibault said everything looked great with the baby. I am so happy for that. I know she will be so precious! It's so exciting to think about the new addition to my wonderful family. I am so blessed and I do not take anything for granted. Unfortunately, I did not pass my glucose screen so I am going in the morning for a 3 hour glucose tolerance test. I'll find out if I have gestational diabetes. I'm really nervous. Everyone please pray for me and baby Kate!

Monticello

We got to spend the weekend in Monticello at Chris's parents house. We had so much fun. Friday night we went to the high school homecoming game where we watched the Billies beat White Hall. The kids had so much fun. Annabelle was dancing and cheering-it was so cute! Brad and Rhonda and Chad and Julie were in from Texas for their 10 year high school reunion. It was so good to spend time with everyone. Chris caught 2 t-shirts in a row that they were throwing in the stands so each of the kids got one. They were so excited!

Saturday night we went to Hamburg and ate at Chris's aunt Carolyn and uncle Jim's restaurant, The Catfish Inn.(our favorite place to eat when we're in town!) Sunday Chris sang in church. It was wonderful. Baby Kate started moving around as soon as he started singing. It was precious! My mom came down for church and Julie's shower we had that afternoon. The shower was great. So many people came! We had a lot of fun. Julie got so many presents. I can't wait to see baby Mabry! I know she'll be beautiful!

Kicking Baby!

The baby is getting much stronger now and Chris got to feel her kick tonight! It was so exciting. I've been able to feel her for a while now, but this is the first time anyone else has. She was kicking so hard my belly was jumping. It is so exciting. One of her favorite things is to kick me in the bladder.

Pumpkin Patch!

Ok so this is really late, but I've been so busy! On October 2nd Chris and I went to the pumpkin patch with Blake and his preschool class. We had so much fun! When we got there the kids got to watch pigs race while they had juice and pretzels. Then they went on a hay ride and petting zoo. Then, they got to pick out their own pumpkin. It took Blake less than a minute and he had the cutest little pumpkin! I remember with Haley we would go up and down all the isles and take about 30 minutes before she would find the right one. They played on huge bales of hay with a tunnel inside. Blake loved all of it. I think we are going back on the 25th so Haley and Reese can go.

Razorback Game

We got up early this morning and left about 5:30 with my parents to Fayetteville. We got there around 9:30. Haley stayed with her Mimi and Blake went to Monticello to stay with Pappaw and Mammaw. The game was fun, even though we lost 49 to 14. Baby Kate went to her 1st game. She moved around a lot at the game. I'm feeling her a lot more now. She's moving right now too. I can already tell she's going to be a night owl like the rest of the family. We did an ultrasound one morning and couldn't wake her up, but by that afternoon she was moving around. So we made the LONG trip home this afternoon and got back just in time to go watch Haley cheer at the Vikings game. They performed their dance tonight and looked so cute. Here are a few pics.

Haley's 10th Birthday Party!

Haley's game got moved up to 2:00 yesterday so they got to play. Although the Vikings lost by 6 points, Haley looked so cute cheering. The girls had so much fun. Right after the game was over the tornado sirens went off so Haley's cousin Olivia didn't get to cheer at her game at 3. We waited the storm out then took the girls to Chili's for Haley's birthday. After that we visited Nana and Poppy at their house then went home and played Rockband. We got it for Haley for her birthday. Olivia stayed the night.

Haley had her party at Play Time Pizza in Little Rock. We had so much fun. She said it was the best party ever. We had our own party room with pizza, cake, and presents. After that the big kids went and played laser tag then played games. Blake played a game he won 1,000 tickets on. At the end of the 4 hours we were there Haley and Blake had over 4,000 tickets so they got prizes. I hope it's a birthday she never forgets! Thank you to everyone who came!
