17 weeks-It's a girl!

I had an ultrasound yesterday and it's a girl! We are so excited(well everyone except Blake). He really wants a brother. Haley started screaming when I told her. I'll have my official ultrasound with Dr. Thibault in about a month, so it may change again then. Haha. Haley's birthday is Sunday and I hope the weather doesn't get too bad. She is supposed to cheer at her first game Saturday night. I'm afraid it will get rained out. We'll see.

Eureka Springs Vacation

We left last Friday morning and headed up to Eureka Springs to stay in a cabin on Beaver Lake with my parents and sister and Reese. We got there around lunch time and ate at the Rowdy Beaver. Then we went to our cabin and unloaded the cars. The cabin was gorgeous! It was 2 story with a balcony and a wonderful view of the lake. We loaded back up and went to Walmart and got stuff for supper that night and breakfast and lunch for the weekend. When we got back Chris and I cooked supper for everyone. He grilled raspberry chipotle pork loin and I cooked fried rice, broccoli with cheese, and crescent rounds. It was fun relaxing and spending time with everyone. The kids were so funny. That evening right before it got dark we saw a couple of deer in our backyard. They were so cute. They were so close, it was crazy! There was a huge jacuzzi that the kids(and us girls) loved. I woke up around 4 or so in the morning and there were 4 deer outside! My mom was feeding them bread and they walked right up to the back porch. Mom didn't sleep well that night and she said the deer were out there all night eating. That morning mom made gravy and biscuits(my favorite) and eggs, and bacon. It was so good. Then we all loaded up and went fishing. We had so much fun! Blake caught his 1st fish. He was so excited. After fishing we went back to the cabin and had lunch then got ready and went on a boat tour, called The Belle of the Ozarks. The hostess on the boat let Haley and Blake use some binoculars. Blake pretended he was a pirate. After the cruise we went and ate all you can eat catfish and shrimp at Angler's Grill. It was good. Blake loves catfish. We got back to the cabin and mom and dad were nice enough to watch the kids while me, Ashley, and Chris went to fish again. After we got back we listened to the Razorbacks barely win. We got up Sunday morning and mom cooked a big breakfast again(with homemade hashbrowns this time). We checked out and Chris and I took the kids to Berryville to Cosmic Caverns. The kids got to pan for gems and explore the cave. We finally got home about 8:30 tonight and are all exhausted. We had a great weekend and all wished we could have stayed longer!

Blake's First Day of Preschool

Blake started 3 year old preschool today at Children's Corner. I had to work so Chris took him this morning. It was so sweet last night because Blake told me he wanted me to take him to school and that he wanted daddy to go to work instead. This morning they went to McDonald's before school and Blake had his favorite-pancakes. Chris said he did ok when he dropped him off, but when he picked him up Blake told his daddy that he cried a little bit. He said he had fun and when I asked him if he was ready to go back he said no. Haha. I'm glad I wasn't there this morning because I know I would have cried. I'm trying not to think about my baby growing up. And about Haley turning 10 in less than 2 weeks! I'm about 4 months

Dr visit

I went to the Dr last Thursday and got good news. He said everything looked good and the heartbeat was 158. I'm going next week for my bloodwork. I took the Intelligender test last Sunday and it resulted green, which means I'm having a boy! I'm getting another ultrasound in a couple of weeks so I should be for sure then. We're sitting here listening to the Razorback game-we're still behind. I hope we win. We're going to the Alabama game on the 20th and can't wait!

14 weeks!

I'm finally starting to feel better. I haven't thrown up in about 2 weeks now, so I'm real excited about that. We did an early ultrasound yesterday and we think it's a boy. Haley wasn't very happy about that. Blake and Chris and my mom got to be there for the ultrasound so it was very special. I cried(of course). Before we started I asked Blake if he wanted to see the baby and he was looking around for it. It was so funny! It's hard for him to understand. I'm looking forward to having another little boy, but we don't really have any names yet. I'll put in a pic I took of myself today. I go to the dr next week to have my blood work. It's all beginning to feel more real. I'm also very happy to be back at the heart hospital after 2 months at saline memorial. I still plan on delivering there and I really liked all the nurses I worked with(it's just not for me).

Dallas Vacation

We had so much fun in Dallas. Thank you Chad and Julie! We got there on the 3rd and grilled that afternoon then went swimming. For the 4th we went swimming all day, then went and watched fireworks that night. Saturday we got up and went to some gardens in Dallas and took family pictures. After that, we went to the Dallas Aquarium, which was really neat(much more than just an aquarium). After that we went to Speed Zone and played games and rode go carts(well everyone except Julie and I of course). Blake played Deal or No Deal by himself and won 510 tickets! He was down between 20 and 1000, so we took the deal! I thought I did good winning 200(not even close). Sunday we went to a water park called Hawaiin Falls. We had a lot of fun. The kids loved it(the big kids too!). We left Monday around lunch time.

I've been getting sick a couple of times a day now, and to think I have about another month of this! Yuck! I decided to leave Saline and go back to the Heart Hospital and I start back there next week. I didn't realize how much I liked the ER til I left.

First Ultrasound

I finally had my first ultrasound today at Dr. Thibault's office. The baby is very much inside my uterus and I saw the heartbeat! It was wonderful. My mom went with me because Chris had to work, and I am very grateful to her. The estimated due date is February 20th. I drove straight to Little Rock to show Chris the ultrasound picture and he was very excited. We are leaving for Dallas in the morning so I'll have more to write next week.
